Introduction
Vincent Kennels is a full-service bird dog training facility. We offer a wide range of services which include dog and horse boarding, training field trial and gun dogs, campaigning dogs on the major circuit and pre-season conditioning of gun dogs. We also train and sell horses for hunting and field trials.
About the Trainers
Allen Vincent was born and raised in northeast Oklahoma. He began quail hunting with his dad and brothers at a very young age. At age ten, he trained his first bird dog, and was an avid quail hunter from then on. Allen competed in his first field trial in 1984, won a second place trophy and was hooked for life. For the next sixteen years, he competed at the amateur level and won nearly two hundred placements. In the spring of 2000 he began training for the public. He was successful from the beginning and has competed at the highest level every since. His record speaks for itself.

Skip Cobb will be going north with us this summer. Skip learned his trade from two of the best in the business, starting out with Scott Miller, and then Gary Pinalto. He learned well and we are exited about the expertise he will bring to our program. Shelby Stickles will also be going with us this for his 3rd summer, he is also making a fine hand.
Training Grounds
We have several thousand acres of native prairie here in northeast Oklahoma where we train. The majority of our training is done right here behind the kennel where we have a thousand acres of prime habitat loaded with both wild and pre-released birds. It is not uncommon to move five or more covey's in an hour. In the spring and fall of the year we travel to West Texas to train where we regularly move 50 to 60 coveys a day.
Facilities
All dogs are housed in clean modern kennels where they are warm and dry. We have thirty-five runs all under one roof. We feed and recommend Precise Dog Food. We have recently acquired new insulated dog houses manufactured by 'Caleb's Covering' of Grove, Oklahoma. Your dogs care and wellbeing is of the utmost importance to us.

Summer Training
We will once again be returning to our summer training grounds near Columbus, North Dakota. These are established grounds where many champions have been trained. We like to begin taking the dogs for the summer trip in June for yard work and evaluation. Our return home is late September/early October. The grounds there consist mostly of CRP, farm ground and fallow fields broken up by long shelterbelts loaded with young Sharptail Grouse, Pheasants and Hungarian Partridge. The virtually unlimited country with few fences makes this an ideal place to finish a young dog or tune up that older dog. Our camp is just twelve miles from the Canadian border, with the cooler temperatures and dry climate we can work 10 -12 hours most days. We have excellent help and work six or seven day's a week. Your dog will have the opportunity for multiple game contacts each workout. As at home our facilities there are top notch so you can rest assured your dog will receive quality care.
